Why Merchant Atlas exists
Merchant Atlas is designed to make payment infrastructure easier to understand. Payment processing sits between a customer trying to pay and a business trying to get paid, yet the terminology, pricing models and regional rules can be difficult to navigate.
The project is presented from a fintech-founder perspective: practical, commercially aware and focused on explaining how the pieces fit together without pretending that one provider, rate or architecture works for every merchant.
